Updates

Since I started to write the last blog I am happy to anounce I have finished 3 projects:
Spider:

Spider was made with knifty knitter blue loom and legs are crocheted chains, has black-button eyes, eight: like real spiders and a smile embroidered with red yarn.

Bunny:

Bunny was made crocheted, firts I made a pear shaped body, and four same size legs, I made 2 half circles for the thigh part of the legs, tail is a pom-pom, 2 long bunny ears and face was embroidered because was made for a 3 year old girl, I made it colorful, with diferent colors of yarn so it will stand up between all other monochromatic bunnies.

Crocodile sleepers:

Crocodile sleepers turned to be cuter than how I thought them would be. I made the green sole and upper part of the sleepers with green yarn I glued them to a brown foam sole that I cut myself, and manually sew all borders with tranparent nylon or fishing cord, to keep both pieces together. Then I made 2 crocodile heads: 2 little 6 scs circles for each one (placed on front as nose holes), 2 white 6scs circles to use as eyes with a black beads as the pupils, 2 little legs for each croc, and embroidered the teeth with white yarn.

Answering previous questions:
The thing I used for the baby mobiles looks like this:

I bought it on a craft store, its like a wire frame that looks like an umbrella...
What I made with it is that I covered it with fabric, first I measured the frame circunference (purple) and the lenght of the rays (red), the cut a rectangle on the facbric leaving extra fabric on the upper and lower side to fold back and sew and also some seam allowance on all sides

Then I turned it around and sew sides to form a cilinder, if you are an experienced seamstress or you will like a neater look, then you can make a french hem (in that case remember to leave enough fabric for the hem), I learned to make it from this baby sling pattern in case you'll like to learn.

Then I folded the upper and lower edges to sew them on the whong side, forming a space, like the one on curtains, to put some elastic band inside it.

Voila!
If you have issues to find the wire frame I found you can use this same idea with other frames like this:
I hope this anwers your question...

Now, there was another person saying that cannot download the patterns, it doesn't say exactly why but I'll explain quickly how does it work.
When you click on the link I place on my blog it will redirect you to 4 shared website, where I had uploaded my patterns, then you'll see a screen showing this:

Then you'll click on the blue rectangle, mine is in spanish but yours probably appears in english, it will say download now, or something like that, then it will take you to a screen with a count down, in this case it was 20 seconds... you wait and will see the link like in the second rectangle:

You click on the link and then will see a promt like the last one wher you choose to save... I'm not sure if its in spanish for everybody or if you see it in english but it will look pretty much the same, anyway now you know how it looks... hope this helps too....

Ok bye for now, need to go back to my projects and stuff...

Mountain to Climb

I have decided to finish old proyects so they're not in my shoulders any more and then I will be able to start others I've had in mind since long time ago... I plan to enjoy each step as I climb this mountain! I'll conquer my time and my lots of unfinished proyects, plus a few small proyects that I have not started yet but already have a deadline....

I'll keep you posted on the improvement!

This time I also wanted to share a pattern I had made a few months ago: Towel-E. I'm sure you recognize it from somewhere...

I also made this  angry bird. I think he is very nice when he is happy:

But then I think I made him angry!

I will like to do a green pig in the future, maybe later on

The red cardinal is not my own pattern I downloaded it from pdf-txt
Ok see you soon...

Congratulations it's a b... baby girl!

Hi there! Do you remember I've made this cute planes mobile for my friend who was pregnant? well, she isn't  pregnant anymore... Baby was born! and came with a big surprise: It's a girl!
She had all prepared to welcome a baby boy, clothes and all were mainly boy's things, so she needed something to neutralize the ambiance something really girly...

 ta daa!

I came up with ideas soon and crocheted this Garden baby mobile. I wrote the pattern to share, so all you need to do, if you want it, is to click on it! I really like this mobile because I focused on how the baby will be looking at it so the baby will be looking directly to the flowers. This pictures show a bee, however the bee is not part of the pattern. I made the body of the bee following instrucctions from this book:
but I made the wings myself, this way:

In case you don't have the book, I found a pattern online that could work, this is the link. On mine I made the legs with black felt the same way I made the bug's legs.

(Update: explanation for the mobile top part on the post called Updates)

If you want to see more of mine or my sister's creations you can check our page in facebook: http://www.facebook.com/CattleCrafts I'm sure you'll find something you like!

Talking about previous projects, towelie is done, as a matter of fact I had made 2 already, will be posting about it soon.

bye now...

Fly to the sky

I've finished the baby mobile for my friend who is pregnant, she says is a boy, so I wanted to make something cute for her little baby.

I saw this beautiful crib bumper:

So I was inspired to make her a mobile that matches it:

Here is the link to download my pattern: Little planes baby mobile
The pattern only includes the little plane pattern, I made 4 little planes and a cloud, the cloud is from this Rainbow mobile pattern. Link to pattern here

I had made it for my first baby:

(Update: explanation for the mobile top part on the post called Updates)

Talking about planes I finished the plane I was working on, the one that should look like the Grumman AA-5A, I think it looks very much like it:

This is a real Grumman AA 5-A:

The one I was making, inspired on a real plane has a different design, that is why the blue lines don't look the same

Bye for now... yarn and hook are calling me...

More haste, less speed

After some problems i had with the computer... I'm glad to introduce to you my newest pattern:
Hello Kitten and friends fridgies
This is my first PDF pattern but if it works fine I will probably keep posting them the same way.

Update (Feb, 2015): I've noticed that a lot of people have not been able to download this pattern from the site I placed it, so I converted it to Jpeg to add it here on the same post, check the images at the end of the post. hope this solves the problem!

This is what the fridgies look like:

Hope you enjoy it! Any questions... just ask!

A lot in my plate!

I'm really busy this days!

I have a full agenda on regular basisand with all I have to do, time to crochet seems not readily available, but I love it! Thats my quiet time!

So I manage to I steal a little time here and there to crochet a little bit, and still, is hard to finish all projects I have!

That is why I don't post as often as wished...

Ok, said that, this is what I've been up to in the past days:

My mother bought me a double ended crochet book, so I used my looped hooks to make a stationary case, this project was fast and very cool... I woke up in the morning with no case for my pens and later in the afternoon it was completed!

I also made this pillow, this was a short project too. First I cut the two side pieces from a nice beige fabric and made a blanket stitch around one of the sides like in this link, then used this stitch as the foundation chain to start crocheting with single stitch around, made 6 rows and then sewed the other side and the elastic band... It is intended to be used as a car pillow.

This is not a new project but on the same line, it was fast to make, I made it for a friend at work:

Now, I'll keep posting on old projects I had made:

Clown fish like Nemo.  I will be posting the pattern in a future post :0)

This little Monkey is another one of the amigurumis I have made:

more will be posted soon...

Now what I'm up to: I'm almost done with Towelie, and working on the gift for my pregnant friend, I'm making her and the baby a little planes mobile, also I'm working on a plane for another friend, which should look like a Grumman AA- 5A, and making some fridgies.

Ok, see you soon!

Pd. for the person who asked, the Gir pattern I used is this. This pattern is good, still I made a few changes to it like the ears and zipper... any questions just ask! I think you have to register in order to be able to see the pattern but anyway this is a good place to find patterns and share.

Amigurumi pictures

I've been crocheting a lot...
Recently I have been asked what kind of thingies can I make so I just came by to add some photos of things I've made, of course not all of them are my own patterns, some of them I found on Crochet pattern central,  they have a large directory of links to different webpages that share crochet patterns for free, including this blog, to be honest that is the first place I go when I'm looking for a pattern...

Another place with cute patterns is: Lion brand yarn's website

Here are some of the cuties I´ve made:

I will be publishing more later on... also I'm working on new patterns to share, bye now!

My sister is right... I want them all!

Nurse is ready, but I'm not.... I'm not ready to let her go... T_T
It turned out to be very cute:

I had never made a doll with hair before, it was fun to add the hair and I even had to cut her hair at the end...
I made her this little nurse cap, very much like a real one, it turned out so cute that it deserved its own photo:

Nice talking to you... bye!

Passed out mushroom: done little nurse: 90% completed

I finished the crazy mushroom and it turned out so funny! His face looks really like he was partying way too much!

The nurse its almost done I'll be finishing it today, I already made all body and head, even the little bag she has but still missing her arms and nurse cap...
I have not finished because I'm been doing other small stuff, I made an amigurumi bone.
I forgot to take a picture of it but here's the link where I got the pattern: Throw me a bone, preferably this smiling crocheted one

I also made a small one, and a sweetheart...

Bye for now!
