Fly to the sky

Hi! This time my mind is on the above... Isn't it amazing how God bless us? God is good... all the time... This month my husband and I are celebrating our 4th wedding aniversary, I am so happy about this, I mean, with the growing increase of divorces nowadays, getting to a 4th year of marriage is success.  Really, every day is an important step achieved, this is like the AA's slogan, which I find very wise and inspiring: One day at a time. Everything in life which is worthy is hard and everything that is hard has to be taken one day at a time, there are bad days as well as good days, so patience to bear the bad ones and gratitude to enjoy the good ones is definitely needed. You never know what will happen in the future and should never say never, but happiness is more about tons of little happy moments than about constant happyness, if that even exists... With 4 years of marriage I can still say I'm totally in love with my husband, that is one blessing, I still think about him during the day and yearn to see him when we are apart... But I've said: there are bad days too, on the day of our anniversary I had been planning to do something special but I wanted my husband to be part of it, so he was suppoused to come up with a plan for that day, meanwhile I requested that day off on my job several times, I even talk to the boss of the boss of my boss and explained the special ocassion but nothing to do... so any plan was distroyed. I went to work that day really upset because my celebration was ruined, evenmore before I started my shift I had a fight with my husband because of all this... It was definitely a bad day! I also left my cellphone at home so couldnt talk to him to fix the situation... Ten o'clock arrived, I went out as my husband and babies pick me up every day, there was the car and I could see my husband, he opened his door as I walked to the car, he came out the car, dressed to celebrate... so handsome... and smelling soooo good! he graved me by my waist and kissed me... I felt I was melting as he started to explain the places we could go and gave me the clothes and shoes he chose for me, he had all planned already, now, I know that afternoon he had no plan but he knows me, he knows I save a little hope 'til the end, he made my day! God blessed me when I had started to think it was a bad day.
So I'm happy, feel more in love, and so grateful for those little moments that make your day even when most of it was not so good.
Talking about blessings and the sky, I've crocheted a baby mobile for my partner which is pregnant, she says is a boy, so I wanted to make something cute for her little baby. Also I went into my baby clothes stash and had selected some of my babies clothes to share with her, you may know babies don't waste the clothes but they grow so fast that any help is truly appreciated, between the clothes I chose to give her there is a crib bumper with this design:
So I was inspired to make her a mobile that matches this crib bumper and it came up to this:

Here is the link to download my pattern: Little planes baby mobile
The pattern only includes the plane pattern, I made 4 planes and a cloud, the cloud is from this pattern: rainbow mobile. I'm not sure this is the original link, I had downloaded it years ago.

I had made it for my first baby:

Talking about planes I finished the plane that should look like the Grumman AA-5A, I think it looks very much like it:

This is a real Grumman AA 5-A:

The one I was making has a diferent design that is why the blue lines dont look the same

Bye for now... yarn and hook are calling me...

  3. I will *have* to make the airplane. We have a Cheetah ourselves (AA5A). I know of quite a few ladies in our flying club (AYA) that would love one too!

  4. Darn, I just noticed the pattern does not include the Cheetah. If you ever come up with a pattern, I would love it! I am not as patient as you for coming up with a design. Very nice!
